The boss of a Lancaster sports bar has revealed big plans for its future as a new pool hall opened inside the historic venue.
Kieran McNamara, general manager of Greens in Lancaster city centre, spoke exclusively to Beyond Radio about major expansion plans which could include a new tapas and cocktail bar, junkyard golf and bowling, and a nightclub.
This came as Greens opened its brand new pool hall on Friday.
The new 11-table pool hall is located in the former DW Sports shop next door to the existing Greens sports bar and pub on North Road.
The new tapas and cocktail bar is planned for the former Blue Moon Thai restaurant on the other side.
And junkyard golf, 10-pin bowling and a late-night venue could be in the works for the upper floor of the Greens premises, which through the years has been the site of the Green Ayre Wetherspoon pub, Spavin and Kelly sports and toy store, and a railway station, to name just a few.
