Staff at the Morecambe and Lancaster branches of KFC have joined forces with 'Wombles' on a community litter pick.
The team got stuck in on Tuesday cleaning up the area on the Promenade close to the Morecambe store of the popular worldwide fried chicken chain.
The litter pick was organised by Claire Barrett, manager of Morecambe KFC.
Claire said he was delighted when volunteers from the Carnforth, Heysham and West End Wombles arrived to help, having seen her advertisement for the event on social media.

"I'm really happy to say that we've got Wombles joining us today to help out," said Claire.
"It's a community thing, we want to reach out and be good neighbours, and promote a clean and tidy environment.
"As KFC we can create a lot of rubbish and we want to be active and seen, and we want people to come and know that we do care about the place, and we're doing our best to be good neighbours.
"I hope to work with the Wombles to do more of these in the future."
Wombles, named after the children's TV characters famed for tidying up, are community groups who clean up litter and keep local streets, parks, paths, and coastal areas tidy.
Claire said she hoped to organise between two to four community litter picks per year.
