Man arrested in Bolton-le-Sands on suspicion of indecent exposure and public order offences

A man police describe as displaying ‘worrying and bizarre behaviour’ has been arrested in Bolton-le-Sands on suspicion of indecent exposure and public order offences.

A 63-year-old was taken into custody on Wednesday morning (October 7), on suspicion of breaching a Community Protection Notice (CPN), committing offences under the Public Order Act, and indecent exposure.

Following interview, the man has been released on police bail pending further investigation.

As part of his bail conditions, he is prohibited from entering Bolton-le-Sands between the hours of 7am and 9am, and 3pm and 5pm.

PC Shaun Foster from Lancaster Area Police said: ‘’A 63 year old man, who I have previously mentioned displaying bizarre and worrying behaviour was arrested in Bolton-le-Sands in connection with a number of offences.

‘’I understand incidents of this nature can cause concern within the community. We would like to reassure residents that reports are being taken seriously and that officers will continue to carry out enquiries and monitor compliance with the imposed bail conditions.

‘’Anyone with information relating to these matters or witness the male breaching his bail conditions is encouraged to contact Lancashire Constabulary via 101 or report information online through our website.
