Morecambe FC has announced Sarb Capital has made a ‘further significant contribution’ into the club.
The private investment firm also injected funds into the Shrimps last month, following the news that payment of wages to staff and players had been delayed.
That financial injection allowed those wages to finally be paid, three days late.
This month’s wage bill was due this week.
In a statement, the Club said: ‘’We are pleased to report that Sarb Capital Limited have made a further significant contribution into the Club this week that enables the team to focus on the key games ahead of us.
‘’The Club’s survival in League One is of paramount importance and this gesture of good will from Sarb Capital allows focus to remain on that goal.
‘’The Board, and owner Bond Group, are extremely pleased to acknowledge Sarbjot (Johal’s) contribution and he has our gratitude, not least because he has made this commitment to the Club whilst the takeover process remains ongoing.
‘’This demonstrates the connection that Mr. Johal already has and feels towards the Club and its supporters. Many of you will have seen him at fixtures up and down the country attending matches to appreciate what this club means to the fans.
Co-Chairman, Graham Howse, added: “Attention turns to Saturday, and support for Derek and the boys.
‘’It’s the final home game, so if you don’t have a ticket, please buy one and let’s raise the roof cheering on the Shrimps”.
Morecambe are two points from League One safety, with two games to play, ahead of tomorrow’s (Saturday April 29) game at the Mazuma Stadium against Lincoln City, the last home game of the season.
The Shrimps have been officially up for sale since autumn 2022.
Potential new owner, businessman Sarbjot Johal, has been in protracted negotiations hoping to complete a proposed takeover with his company Sarb Capital Ltd.
The English Football League (EFL) have to approve any prospective new owner of the club.
Bond Group Investments has owned Morecambe FC since 2018.
