A pensioner in her 80s has been seriously injured following a collision near Lancaster on Thursday.
Police are appealing for witnesses and footage following the collision on Main Street in Hornby.
Officers were called at 11am yesterday (October 8), following reports a white Peugeot 308 collided with a pedestrian.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries where she remains at this time.
The driver of the Peugeot remained at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.
Sergeant Helen Parkinson of Lancaster’s Roads Policing Unit said: “A woman has been left with serious injuries following this collision and our thoughts remain with her and her loved ones at this time.
"We are in the early stages of our investigation, and I am appealing directly to you, the public, for your assistance.
