Volunteers and council staff have joined forces to give our Eric a blooming great floral view.
Flowerbeds were planted near the Eric Morecambe Statue on Monday as part of the 'Bloom Together' scheme.
This was part of a multi-year project to bring spring planting back to Morecambe.
"Spring has sprung at Eric's statue – and of course he brought us sunshine!" said a post on the Morecambe Town Council Facebook page.
"A great start to Bloom Together. A special shoutout to the wonderful volunteers who joined our Town Rangers and (Lancaster) City (Council)'s public realm staff planting up the Eric Morecambe flowerbeds this morning – it was lovely getting to know you all!"
Here is how the beds looked before planting.

And here is how they looked after the planting on Monday.

There was a mainly positive response to the flower beds on the town council's Facebook page.
We Love Morecambe said: "Looks wonderful. Well done."
Eileen said: "Gorgeous. Thanks for working so hard."
Elizabeth said: "Walked past the planting team this morning, it’s absolutely lovely - a riot of hot colours."
Jean said: "Wow that's amazing. I drove by yesterday and the beds were bare and prepared for planting. They look good today. Well done.
But Susan Ann said: "There are more areas to concentrate on and in Morecambe and Lancaster."
Here is the team planting the beds on Monday.

Up to six flowerbeds will be planted around Morecambe as part of the project, which is a partnership between Morecambe Town Council and Lancaster City Council.
The Bloom Together project is a joint venture between Morecambe Town Council and Lancaster City Council.
The town council has been recruiting a team of around 20 volunteers to help with the multi-year project and said they'd had a "really positive" response.
The volunteers will learn from and work alongside Morecambe Town Council's team of Town Rangers who will provide free-to-attend green skills workshops focusing on sustainable horticultural practice.
The councils are aiming to expand the project to include more flowerbeds over the next two years.
The Town Rangers are employed by the town council to clear weeds on the streets and alleys around the town and wider District.
Morecambe Town Council is contracted by Lancashire County Council to provide weeding services across the whole of the Lancaster and Morecambe area.
