There was disappointment for Dave Chisnall at the 2022 Players Championship Finals in Minehead over the weekend.
Chizzy overcame Niels Zonneveld by six legs to three in round one, before a 6-3 loss to Scott Williams in round two.
The £500,000 major featured 64 players battling it out in a culmination of the 30 Players Championship events held during the course of the season, and took place at the Butlins Minehead Resort, with matches held across two stages simultaneously in the early rounds.
Michael van Gerwen won the event, his seventh Players Championship Finals crown.
Meanwhile, Chisnall has been seeded 12th for the forthcoming Cazoo World Darts Championship, with the first round draw in the 96 player field taking place this evening (Monday November 28).
The World Championships begin at the Alexandra Palace on December 15.
