Lancashire and England cricketer Ric Gleeson has opened the new net facility at Morecambe Cricket Club.
The fast bowler cut the ribbon on the new practice facility this week, after the club received a grant from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).
The nets were designed and installed by Total Play, at the club’s ground on Woodhill Lane.

Ric ended last season as the Vitality Blast’s leading wicket taker for Lancashire, and agreed a new two-year T20 contract to stay at Emirates Old Trafford until the end of the 2024 season.
Ric has also been capped at T20 level six times by England after making his debut against India last summer.
The photograph shows Richard Gleeson opening the new nets with members of the cricket committee, club captain Alex Briggs and some of the club’s junior players.
