Lancaster Cricket Club earn bragging rights over Morecambe

Lancaster's Curtley Louw scored 86 and took 4-33 against Morecambe

Morecambe Cricket Club First XI lost out to Lancaster in the Palace Shield Premier Division at Lune Road.

Chasing Lancaster’s total of 152, Morecambe, who won the toss and elected to field, were bowled out for 109, to lose by 43 runs.

Lancaster were thankful to Curtley Louw, who smashed 86 in just 77 balls, in an innings which included eight fours and four sixes, while Lloyd Smith finished with 4-41.

In reply, Morecambe’s David Rhoda (29 not out) and Alex Briggs (27) were top scorers, while there were four wickets each for Louw (4-33) and Ben Simm (4-33).
