Lancaster City return to the Giant Axe on Tuesday (October 11) and will be looking to transfer their cup fortunes to the league.

The Dollies will face Warrington Rylands 1906, who are unbeaten in their last six across all competitions, whereas the Dollies haven’t won in the league since August 27.

Rylands have scored the most goals in the Northern Premier League Premier Division, where they are currently eighth, with 28, and the third most goals conceded, so it is bound to be an exciting game on Tuesday evening, regardless of scoreline.

Callum Dolan is the Blues’ top scorer this season with 13 goals – he has already surpassed his goal tally for the 2021/22 season.

However, with such a confident and creative frontline, Lancaster will have to keep a watchful eye on all of Rylands’ attackers.

Both teams were victorious in the third qualifying round of the FA Trophy at the weekend.

City got their first win in all competitions for just over a month when they beat Morpeth Town 3-2 to progress to the first round proper, the draw for which was made on Monday – the Dollies will face Gainsborough Trinity at the Giant Axe.

Meanwhile, The Blues comfortably won 2-0 at Nantwich.

Lancaster are gradually welcoming back more and more of their injured players.

Last month especially saw them have a tough time with player fitness and squad depth, but the likes of Jamie Mellen and Christian Sloan have returned in the last couple of weeks, and the club are expecting the returns of a few more players including Andy Teague and Curtis Anderson before the end of the month.

Lancaster City v Warrington Rylands 1906 kicks off at 7.45pm on Tuesday.
