Shane McLoughlin is the latest Morecambe player to have his contract terminated by mutual consent.
The midfielder signed in the summer of 2021, with the 25-year-old making 54 appearances in all competitions, scoring twice.
Morecambe Football Club said they would like to thank Shane for his efforts throughout his time with the Shrimps and wished him well for the future.
McLoughlin was a regular under previous manager Stephen Robinson, but under Derek Adams hadn’t started a League One fixture since the defeat at Wigan Athletic back in March, 2022.
This season, McLoughlin featured as a substitute on seven occasions, the last appearance coming in the draw at Wycombe Wanderers in October.
