Morecambe FC have announced they’ve released nine players following the club’s relegation to the National League.
Forwards Saul Fox-Akande, Jordan Slew and Hallam Hope, midfielder Callum Cooke, defender Ross Millen, George Ray, and Max Taylor, and goalkeepers Stuart Moore and Ryan Schofield have all not been offered a new deal and will depart the Mazuma Mobile Stadium.
Winger Gwion Edwards remains contracted while goalkeeper Harry Burgoyne, defenders Luke Hendrie, Jamie Stott and David Tutonda, midfielders Harvey Macadam and Tom White, and attacker Ben Tollitt have all triggered one year contract extensions and will remain at the club next season.
Meanwhile Lee Angol, Adam Lewis, Paul Lewis and Yann Songo’o have all been offered one-year contract extensions.
Marcus Dackers, Andrew Dallas, Ged Garner, Callum Jones and Rhys Williams all return to their respective parent clubs after the expiry of their loan deals with the Shrimps.
Three U18 players have been offered professional contracts; they are Lennon Dobson, Adam Fairclough and Alfie Scales.
