Morecambe began their pre-season fixtures with a 2-1 victory at Longridge Town on Tuesday night.
Goals in the second half from Harvey Macadam, against his former club, and a stoppage time strike from Gwion Edwards, secured the win against the side from the North West Counties Premier Division.
In the first half, Ben Tollitt saw an early shot saved, before another effort drifted over the bar.
Jack Anderton then fired into the side netting with his left foot for the hosts.
Billy Whaite headed over from a Luke Hendrie cross as the sides went into half time goalless.
The Shrimps opened the scoring shortly after the restart, as youngster Nathan Snowball squared the ball for Harvey Macadam to tap home.
Whaite then tested Bellizia in the Town goal from the edge of the area, before the hosts equalised with 18 minutes remaining.
Cunningham hung the ball up to the far post where Hewitt managed to prod it past Harry Burgoyne.
Morecambe snatched the victory deep in added time, as youngster Oscar Wright broke forward and played to Gwion Edwards, who turned and fired into the far corner.
The Shrimps are next due to be in pre-season action away at Northern Premier League outfit Hyde United, on Tuesday July 15.
