Striker Marcus Dackers has joined Morecambe on a season-long loan from Salford City.
The towering forward’s arrival on Deadline Day, which is subject to EFL approval, rounds off a busy summer for the Shrimps.
Having progressed through the ranks at Brighton & Hove Albion, he made the move north to The Ammies and linked up with their U21 side in the summer of 2021.
Shortly after arriving at the Peninsula Stadium, the 21-year-old made his first loan move to Stalybridge where an impressive return of eight goals in 10 appearances caught the eye of Chester, which is where he spent the second half of the 2021/22 campaign.
During his time at the Deva Stadium, Dackers netted nine goals in 20 appearances before returning to Salford.
More loan spells followed with the likes of Woking and Altrincham as well as two stints with Southend United before linking up with the Shrimps.
This season, he has featured in all five of Salford City's games across League Two, the Carabao Cup and the Bristol Street Motors Trophy.
A Welsh youth international, Dackers has represented The Dragons a total of 12 times across a number of age groups, scoring once at U17 level.
Speaking of his new forward’s arrival, manager Derek Adams said: “We’re delighted to bring Marcus in on a season-long loan from Salford City, he now strengthens our attacking options going forward."
