A fundraiser has been launched to support Morecambe Cricket Club women's team.
Morecambe Cricket Club Women have always shared kit and equipment with the men's teams.
They are looking to raise funds so they can develop the team and have their own fit-for-purpose-kit.
The team plays in the Northern Pyramid, Super 8s North league, were league champions last season and hope to do the double this year.
"We are open to women and girls age 13 upwards, and as well as being successful on the pitch, we want to ensure that women and girls in the Morecambe area have access to this wonderful sport," said Tarnia Elsworth from the team.
"So far, we have always shared kit, and equipment with our men’s teams. It’s always a little bit big and doesn’t suit our specific needs.
"With that in mind we are running a fundraiser, so that we have our own pot of money, so that we can develop the team, and have our own fit for purpose kit.
"If you can donate to support we would really appreciate it."
Every £5 donated will be an entry into a draw to win a signed Stuart Broad shirt. Every £20 will get you five entries.
So far more than £2500 has been raised at the Justgiving page HERE.
The team also has match and shirt sponsorship opportunities for the 2026/2027 season.
