Morecambe’s Dave Chisnall will take on Fallon Sherrock in a round one clash at the PDC World Championship next month.
The draw for the first round sees Chizzy up against the only woman to have won matches at the tournament – after Sherrock sealed two victories in 2019 at the Alexandra Palace.
Chisnall begins the tournament as the 21st seed, as a total of 128 of the world's best players take part in the tournament at the event in London.
World number six Chisnall, a former BDO world darts finalist and PDC world semi-finalist, will be hoping for better form after a disappointing result in last year’s event, where he was knocked out in the second round.
The sport's flagship tournament will take place at London's Alexandra Palace from December 11 until January 3, as reigning champion Luke Littler sets his sights on back-to-back titles in the capital.
There is a total prize fund of £5m on offer - including an incredible £1m prize to the winner.
In a change from recent years, all players will enter the tournament in Round One, with 32 seeded players in the standard seed pattern joined by the players ranked 33-64 in the left hand side of the draw, pitted against the remaining 64 qualifiers.
