The Shrimps gave a debut to winger Jack Nolan on the right, following his move from Gillingham earlier this week.

The hosts started on the front foot with Archie Mair called into action in the first 90 seconds, before the Moors missed two other presentable chances.

Morecambe began to impose themselves on the game as the half wore on, but fell behind in the 25th minute, as Jamey Osbourne broke free in the area and finished low into the net.

Paul Lewis shot wide, before the Shrimps equalised in dramatic fashion five minutes later.

Jack Nolan introduced himself to Morecambe fans in style, as he cut inside from the flank and unleashed a left footed curler into the top corner of Lawrie Walker’s net.

Just before half time, Moors found themselves ahead again, as a lobbed through ball found Jacob Wakeling in the left hand side of the box, and he managed to poke the ball past Mair.

Morecambe came flying out of the blocks in the early stages of the second half.

Ben Tollitt fed Paul Lewis, and his cross to the back post was played back across the area by Jack Nolan, where Admiral Muskwe was on hand to tap in for his first goal for the club.

A few minutes later, the Shrimps took the lead for the first time in the contest, as a smart move down the right hand side involving Nolan and Cain saw a cross headed powerfully home at the near post.

Archie Mair was called into action when he got down low to stop a Solihull strike, before Moors pulled level on the hour mark, when Brad Nicholson rose highest to nod home from the second phase of a corner.

Fifteen minutes from time, Morecambe retook the lead with another goal to savour, as a free kick routine on the edge of area was played to Miguel Azeez, who fired a rocket into the top corner form 30 yards.

Two minutes later, it was all square once more as a move down the left for Solihull found Jacob Wakeling who finished at the back post.

In the 89th minute, Archie Mair was called into action and pulled off an incredible double save to keep it level, as the Shrimps secured the very least they deserved from a thrilling encounter.
