Morecambe FC’s first pre-season friendly away at Workington AFC tomorrow has been cancelled.
The club say that due to having a number of players with minor knocks and injuries, they have had to take the difficult decision to cancel the match in order not to aggravate the injuries further and cause damage to the squad ahead of the new League Two season.
At present the club are currently discussing options around potential new dates, if schedules allow, but there is no other date confirmed.
Any tickets purchased will be refunded by Workington AFC, please contact their ticket office directly.
The Shrimps are due to play non-league Warrington Town on Saturday.
