Lancaster City will go into October top of the Northern Premier League Premier Division league table after going the whole month of September unbeaten.

Jimmy Marshall's side earned a point on Saturday against Guiseley at the Giant Axe.

The first chance came on 6 minutes, Sam Bailey switched the ball to Toby Oliver, his dink over the back line found Dylan Moonan and his chance was fired over.

On 10 minutes, a clearance from Brad Kelly and link up play with Sloan and Lawson gave Nic Evangelinos the chance to lay off the ball to Charlie Bailey, for him to cut inside and his low effort needing saving by Joe Cracknell.

The visitors, looking for an upturn in their away form had the better chances in the half. Neat play between Amir Berchil and Jordan Thewlis played Jack Emmett into the box, an onrushing Brad Kelly smothering his effort.

The Lions got even closer on 20 minutes, Will Longbottom's free kick was expertly saved by Kelly, but the Dollies could not clear their lines and it was Berchil who saw his curling effort crash off the post.

It was Berchil again on 25 minutes, this time picking the ball from the right hand side and driving forward and with hesitation in the back line he carried on his run and his shot was fired over.

It was down the left on 29 minutes, John Lufudu getting past Sam Bailey and crossing to Lucas Odunston but his header was deflected by Toby Oliver into the hands of Kelly.

As Lancaster rallied after the onslaught, Dom Lawson tried his luck from the edge of the box, but Cracknell gathered.

Lawson would be the first tormentor to Cracknell in the second half, being denied from close range on 48 minutes. Charlie Bailey tried his luck from 25 yards but his shot was over the bar.

A good spell of football by the Dollies on 63 minutes saw substitute Nathan Caine have a shot at goal from just inside the box, but his chance was just wide of the post. Another sub Matty Clarke had a chance at the back post off a Sam Bailey cross but he just couldn't keep his header down.

The last big chance of the game, saw Clarke knock it down to Caine, his shot was blocked but it fell to Charlie Bailey and his chance was destined for goal but was expertly defended from Jake Lawlor.

The result extends the Dolly Blues' lead at the top of the table to three points and the undefeated run in the league to 9 games.

Next time out is in Isuzu FA Trophy action away to Prescot Cables on Saturday 4th October.
