A hockey player from Kirkby Lonsdale is taking aim at another Olympic medal as the Games are set to get under way in Paris.
Fiona Crackles is again part of the Team GB women's hockey squad for the Olympic Games having won bronze in Tokyo in 2021.
The tough tackling defender, who attended Queen Elizabeth School in Kirkby Lonsdale, grew up on her parents' farm near the town.
She started playing hockey aged just seven when she joined Kirkby Lonsdale Hockey Club.
The Cumbria native enjoyed a meteoric rise, making her Great Britain debut just 10 months before she helped Team GB to hockey bronze in Japan.
This was followed by Commonwealth gold for England in 2022 as well as a World Cup debut.

Great Britain play their first Pool B match against Spain on Sunday, July 28.
South Africa, Australia, Argentina and the USA are also in Team GB's pool.
Great Britain are outsiders with the bookies to claim Olympic gold, with Netherlands and Argentina the favourites.
