Lancaster City have announced that former player and manager, Keith Brindle, has died.
He was 70.
Keith made more than 500 appearances for the Dolly Blues, scoring 96 times, before becoming manager during the 1991/92 season.
The Club have paid tribute to their former midfielder.
"It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of former player and manager, Keith Brindle,’’ they said in a statement.
‘’Keith was a valued and respected figure at the club, whose dedication, passion, and commitment left a lasting mark both on and off the field. As a player and manager, his outstanding contribution places him firmly among the club’s most committed servants.’’

‘’Beyond his achievements in football, Keith will be remembered for his character, warmth, and the friendships he built at the club and the wider football community.
‘’Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with his family, friends, and all who knew him at this difficult time.
‘’He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by everyone at the club."
