A semi-abstract painter has seen her work go on display in the city.
Kasia Wilson, who works from a studio at King Street Arts, has lived in Lancaster for almost 14 years after moving from her home city of Wroclaw in Poland.
Kasia came to the UK to set up a jewellery business with her brother, Mariusz, which has since built a customer base worldwide.
She recently rekindled her love of painting as a sideline and began selling them through her own website, and has sold her work to buyers from across the UK as well as the USA and Europe.
Her work will be on display at The Storey cafe until February 23.
“I am really pleased to be able to show some of my work at The Storey, which is such an amazing institution in Lancaster city centre," said Kasia.
“Lancaster has such an incredible and vibrant arts community, and I am immensely grateful and proud to be an associate member at King Street Arts, and to have a studio space right in the heart of the city, which feels incredibly welcoming.
“Coming from Wroclaw, which has a proud artistic heritage of its own, it’s wonderful to find a similar community in Lancaster.
“My paintings are generally semi-abstract landscapes and seascapes, and through them I aim more to capture a mood and a sense of movement and emotional flow, rather than represent any particular place.
“That said, being situated so near the Lancashire coast with such beautiful, local countryside surrounding us, is an unending source of inspiration for my work.”
