A herd of Cairngorm reindeer will visit a Lancaster shopping centre on 'Reindeer Day'.
People can meet the Cairngorm herd in St Nicholas Arcades today (December 4) from noon until 3pm, for free.
Roaming freely since 1952, the Cairngorm reindeer herd is Britain’s only free-ranging herd of reindeer found in the Cairngorm mountains in Scotland.
You can also visit Santa in his sleigh from noon and receive a small treat.
Elves will be roaming around with their baby puppet reindeer and Sven the reindeer mascot, courtesy of the Funcast Character Company.
There will also be pay-as-you-go funfair rides and free facepainting too, from 11am to 4pm.
The event is organised by Lancaster Business Improvement District (BID).
You can also follow the Lancaster BID Reindeer Trail for a chance to win £100 to spend in St Nicholas Arcades.
All you have to do is find the 12 model reindeer decorated by local schools, which are on display at locations in the city centre. Ask a member of the BID team for an entry form.
