A champion of community cohesion has been talking to Beyond Radio about a celebration of different cultures to be held in Lancaster.
Harsha Shukla MBE from organisers Communities Together has been speaking about the ninth annual Festival of Culture to be held at Lancaster University this Sunday (March 5).
The afternoon will include dance, poetry, prayer, fashion, tradition, music and song.
This celebration of diversity will include food from around the world, stalls showcasing local activities and performances from Chinese, Arabic, Pakistani, Polish, Jewish, Kurdish and Brazilian traditions, and more.
The free festival in the LICA building at the university has been organised by Communities Together Lancaster and runs from 3pm to 5.30pm. Doors open at 2.30pm.
