A huge thank you to Beyond Radio founding director Nathan Hill as he departs for pastures new

The Beyond Radio team would like to give a massive thank you to one of our founder directors Nathan Hill as he embarks on a new adventure.

Nathan has stepped away from his role with Beyond Radio to work on other radio projects, after more than a decade of involvement both as commercial director; and in planning, supporting and preparing for the launch of the station in 2016.

During his time at Beyond Radio, Nathan was a driving force behind our development into a real local radio station at the heart of the community.

He was right at the centre of station life, forging partnerships with local businesses and organisations, and was at the forefront of many of our outside broadcasts and presence at local community events including Carnforth Carnival (see below).

Nathan was also a key presenter on-air for many years, most recently hosting our Saturday afternoon show.

His passion for local radio, enthusiasm and cheeky sense of fun will certainly be missed around the station.

But we are delighted that Nathan will remain connected to Beyond Radio, as you'll still be able to hear his voice on many of our jingles and advertisements in future.

"Whilst we are sorry to see Nathan go, we know he has some exciting times ahead of him and he'll make a great success of what he plans to do next," said Duncan Moore, Beyond Radio managing director.

"As one of our founding directors, Nathan has had a huge influence on many aspects of the station, from our station branding to our relationship with our commercial and community partners, our on air sound and many others.

"It has been a pleasure to work alongside him as we've developed the station over the last seven years from the small community project it was with just a handful of volunteers, into the area's only truly local radio station and news provider.

"He has played a immeasurable part in our development as a locally focused, community resource and I thank him for that."
