Beyond Radio is delighted to announce that our licence to broadcast has been renewed for another five years.
Communications regulator Ofcom has approved our broadcasting licence renewal which enables your local community radio station to continue on-air across Lancaster and Morecambe Bay until at least 2031.
This is a huge moment for Beyond Radio during our 10th anniversary year - as we will celebrate a decade of broadcasting on FM in July 2026.
"I’m absolutely delighted to share that Ofcom has renewed Beyond Radio’s community radio licence for another five years," said Steven Normyle, managing director of Beyond Radio.
"The team at Beyond Radio is incredibly proud of what we have built over the past decade and this renewal reflects the energy, creativity, and dedication our team brings to the station every single day.
"From presenting our daytime and specialist radio shows every day, to being out and about in the community at numerous local events, we are here to connect, entertain, and champion our local area
"Thanks to this renewal, we get to keep doing exactly that for another five years."

Beyond Radio is a community radio station based at our studios in Palatine Park, Lancaster.
The station was founded in 2012 and began broadcasting on FM in 2016 after a period of broadcasting solely online.
Beyond Radio was founded by a team of individuals who each held an interest in radio, the local community, and held many years of experience in the community radio sector.
The station primarily covers the Lancaster and Morecambe District – namely Lancaster, Morecambe, Carnforth and the surrounding villages in the area served by Lancaster City Council. We can also be heard into the Garstang and North Preston area, and into the South Lakes.
Beyond Radio is fuelled by the hard work and enthusiasm of volunteers, reflects a diverse mix of cultures and interests, and provides a rich mix of mostly locally-produced radio content.
You can listen to Beyond Radio on 103.5FM and 107.5FM in the Lancaster and Morecambe Bay area, and via our website beyond.radio where you can also LISTEN AGAIN to past programmes. You can also listen by downloading the Beyond Radio app or through your smart speaker.
