A Beyond Radio presenter has released his third book about the revival of professional wrestling in Britain.

Greg Lambert's new book 'One Fall to a Finish: Inside the British Wrestling Boom Years and Beyond' has reached number one in the best-selling wrestling books chart on Amazon Kindle.

The book covers British wrestling's return to ITV after almost 30 years, with a pilot show in 2016 and series in 2018, as well as American wrestling giant WWE's involvement in the grass roots UK scene.

Greg, 52, was a leading figure on the UK pro wrestling circuit as a commentator, performer, ring announcer and behind-the-scenes writer and producer for 20 years, from 2002 to 2022.

During that period of time, he also ran his own wrestling events in his home town of Morecambe at venues including The Dome and The Carleton alongside his friend and co-promoter Mark Kay. They also set up a pro wrestling training school in the town, which was open from 2009-14.

Greg was also a regular writer for two of Europe's leading pro wrestling magazines, Power Slam and Wrestle Talk.

In 2018, he hosted the first ever live TV pro wrestling series to be based in the UK, '5 Star Wrestling', on the FreeSports channel. The previous year Greg hosted the first live television special by a UK wrestling company for 50 years, which aired on 5Spike.

His first book 'Holy Grail: The True Story of British Wrestling's Revival' was released in 2012 and the follow-up 'Ropes and Glory: The Emotional Rise of British Wrestling' came out in 2017.

Greg hosts The Resident on Tuesday nights on Beyond Radio and co-hosts Beyond the Headlines on Fridays. He also works for the station as a news reporter and has hosted many local events and festivals for Beyond Radio.

'One Fall to a Finish: Inside the British Wrestling Boom Years and Beyond' is available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle versions here.
