Two students from a Lancaster school have become Beyond Radio presenters after a week of work experience at our radio station.
Taylor Pye and Madison Sandiford co-hosted the Early Evening Show on Thursday on Beyond Radio and will also present their own individual programmes on Sunday evening.
Taylor and Madison are both Year 10 pupils at Ripley St Thomas School in Lancaster.
Taylor said the best thing about work experience at Beyond Radio was "being able to get into a studio environment and able to record some shows" and Madison said it was "seeing all the insights into putting a show together".
Madison said: "It seemed like an interesting experience and unusual to be able to go to place like Beyond."
Taylor said: "I've also wanted to get into the media industry and Beyond Radio gave me that chance."
Luke Edmondson, volunteer training lead at Beyond Radio, said: "It's been an absolute pleasure to welcome Taylor and Madison in to the Beyond studios as they did their work experience with us.
"They have created a number of shows part of our community programming.
"They have excelled themselves this week and a real credit to themselves and Ripley school. We hope they'll stay a part of the Beyond Radio team."
Duncan Moore, Head of Community Programming, said: "Madison and Taylor have been brilliant this week and have shown great enthusiasm during their time with us on work placement.
"I hope they have enjoyed their time and that the experience of being part of the team at Beyond Radio has given them an appetite to continue to volunteer as presenters with us."
