Beyond Radio is saying goodbye to our Saturday Sports Show presenter Ross Chapman after four very successful years at the station.
Ross will present his last ever Saturday Sports Show on Saturday February 28 before leaving the station to begin the next stage of his career.
Ross joined Beyond Radio in February 2022 and since then has proved himself as a real asset to the station, both for his sport journalism and for his presenting of Saturday Sports, initially co-presenting with Alistair Fisher and then as the solo host.
During his time with Beyond, Ross has developed some great relationships within the local sporting community and encouraged sportsmen and women and those who run sports clubs and events to promote them and tell their stories on the station.

"As a truly locally focused radio station we need to build strong links with all areas of our local community and I believe Ross has done a brilliant job in doing that with our local sporting community," said Duncan Moore, Head of Community Programming and Personnel at Beyond Radio.
"It would have been easy to create a sport show that focuses on the national and international world of sport and all its disciplines, as there is no end of resources to draw from.
"But Ross has put in the leg work over the last few years and focused on sport in our area and created for us truly locally focused sport output with on air content and sports journalism reporting on local sports ranging from pickleball to stock car racing and martial arts.

"His dedication to his work with us has resulted in a number of Beyond Radio volunteer awards being given to him in recognition of his hard work in creating a great locally focused community programme, so thank you Ross and well done."
Ross has won multiple awards at the Beyond Radio Volunteer Awards, held every year to recognise the work of our volunteers.
He most recently won the Jonathon Pearson Memorial Award in 2025, after previously winning Directors' Awards in 2022 and 2023, and the Newcomer to Radio award in 2022.
While volunteering at Beyond Radio, he has been studying sports journalism at the University of Lancashire in Preston.
The new host of the Saturday Sport Show will be Edward Glover, who has been co-presenting with Ross for the past few weeks.

You can listen to the final edition of the show with Ross as host, this Saturday at 9am.
He will also be joining Luke Stutchbury on his show on Saturday at 11am.
