A popular high street computer games store in Lancaster city centre has shut its doors.
GAME in St Nicholas Arcades is closed and Game Retail Limited is now in administration, having appointed administrators KR8 Advisory on March 8.
In January, we reported that a closing down sale had been announced at the store and that signs had gone up saying it would close in April.
The shop sold consoles, video games and toys.
Below, signs in the window of the Lancaster GAME Store after closure was announced in January.

The unit at St Nicholas Arcades where Lancaster GAME was based has been on the market for lease for some time.
Frasers Group, who acquired GAME in 2019, also own Sports Direct which opened in St Nicholas Arcades in December. The new store has a small GAME unit inside.
Many other Sports Direct stores, including one at the Sunnycliffe Retail Park on Mellishaw Lane in Lancaster, also house a GAME store or concession.
