Emergency services called after Lancaster city centre collision involving cyclist and lorry

The scene of a collision involving a cyclist and a lorry in Lancaster city centre on Friday morning.

A cyclist and a lorry have been involved in a road traffic collision during rush hour in Lancaster city centre.

Emergency services were called to the junction of King Street and Meeting House Lane on Friday at around 9am.

An eye-witness said the cyclist was conscious following the incident.

Part of the road was blocked following the incident, and bus company Stagecoach said their number 4 service would divert to Lancaster Bus Station and would not serve any stops between Queens Square and the bus station.

The area was cleared later on Friday morning and buses were running as normal again.
