A proud mum has completed a one million steps challenge in memory of her daughter whose toy appeal continues to bring smiles to children in need.
Debbie Hutton walked every day for 66 days around the Morecambe area, accompanied by friends and family in all weathers.
She started on August 6 and completed the final 5000 steps on the Promenade in the rain on Saturday afternoon.
Debbie has been raising money for Westgate Primary School and Blossom Toy Appeal in memory of her daughter Vicky, who died in 2021 aged just 26.
Vicky, who worked at Westgate Primary, set up the toy appeal and her sister Rebecca continues to run it each year to ensure families who are struggling have presents during the festive season.
You can still donate to Debbie's Million Steps Challenge HERE. More than £2,000 has been raised on the online page.

"Every year Vicky used to raise collections for toys for children who did not get anything for Christmas," said Debbie.
"It was a real passion for her and she used to reach out to different organisations to make sure that every child went home from Westgate School with a toy.
"We wanted to carry on that tradition for her and follow her legacy and the support I've had has been overwhelming.

"I've had so many people come out walking with me, I've been to lots of different places with people.
"One week I thought I was broken and couldn't do any more, but I've walked every day for 66 days.
"Last Friday I was invited to walk with some of the teachers, friends and colleagues of Vicky. I was absolutely blown away, there was over 20 of them.
"(People) write to me now and again, telling me how lovely Vicky was. The teachers told me stories about the impact she made on them. She's touched so many people in her short life. We can't be any prouder as parents.
"If I can be anything like Vicky, I want to be. Just a little bit of the kindness she gave people, I want to have a bit of that."

The Blossom Toy Appeal will be running again this Christmas from Rebecca's Blossom Studio on Deansgate in Morecambe, and donations of brand new toys and books are welcome, to be distributed by different charities.
