A man has been jailed after a series of burglaries of Lancaster businesses.
Mitchell Blamire, 35, of St Wilfrid's Park in Halton, was found guilty of three burglaries in May 2024.
Blamire was given a three year, three month and 18 day sentence, at a hearing at Preston Crown Court.
The court heard that Blamire, over a couple of days, forced his way into the businesses during the hours of darkness when they were closed, causing damage and stealing cash.
The three premises he burgled were The Quarterhouse restaurant on Moor Lane, My Home Cafe on Gage Street, and 3-1-5 Health Club gym on Mannin Way.

PC Shaun Foster, Lancaster city centre community beat manager, said that police were able to identify and arrest Blamire within four days of his crime spree and remanded him into jail pending the court case.
PC Foster thanked the public for their support and said that a woman had witnessed Blamire running off from one of the burglaries and phoned police straight away.
A police spokesperson said the burglaries had caused "significant financial impact" on the businesses as "they could not open up to the public straight away".
