High winds from Storm Dave battered the Lancaster and Morecambe Bay area causing a tree to fall on a road leading to the crematorium.
The tree, which has since been removed, fell on the road between Lancaster and Morecambe Crematorium and the nearby Torrisholme Cricket Club as winds of up to 90mph hit the UK overnight on Saturday and Sunday.
"A lovely old tree has sadly snapped and fallen from the public verge across the road and onto our hedge," said a post on the Crematorium Facebook page on Sunday.
"Police have cordoned off the corner leading to this stretch, but please take care if travelling this way.
"You are more than welcome to travel through our crematorium if you're stuck or attending the cricket club today, but please be respectful of visitors, and drive slowly and carefully
"Safe travels and we hope the council will have the road open again soon, if not already. We're just glad no one was hurt when this old tree fell."
There were also a large number of stones on the Promenade at Marine Road East following the storm.

A Lancaster City Council spokesperson said the pebbles were being cleared on Tuesday morning and other than this and removing the fallen tree, was not aware of any other major issues from Storm Dave in the area.
