Military veterans from Morecambe and Carlisle will join forces before an Easter Monday football game to take on an 80-mile cycling challenge.
'Riding for our Own: The Veterans Way' on Monday, April 6, will raise funds for projects supporting Armed Forces veterans in both towns.
The cyclists will set off from Brunton Park in Carlisle early on Monday morning, then cycle to the Mazuma Mobile Stadium in Morecambe in time for the National League match between the Shrimps and Carlisle United that afternoon.
The veterans projects are run by Morecambe FC Community Foundation, the charitable arm of the football club, and Carlisle United Community Sports Trust.
Tony Brankin, Morecambe FC Veterans Project Officer, will be taking part and spoke to Beyond Radio about it.

The challenge will raise invaluable funds and awareness towards charitable projects in both towns, to engage with veterans, military personnel and their family members.
The projects aim to positively influence the lives of those attending through social connection, improved wellbeing and increasing future aspirations.
Last February, Morecambe and Fleetwood veterans took part in a Walk for Wellbeing between football grounds to raise funds to help Armed Forces veterans in both towns.
