Police are investigating reports of a number of burglaries and thefts in two villages near Carnforth.
They received a number of reports of incidents that are believed to have occurred overnight on Sunday into Monday (August 2/3), in the Silverdale and Yealand area.
Cars, garages and other outbuildings have been broken into and items stolen, including a car which was stolen from Silverdale and later recovered in Lancaster on Tuesday morning.
PC Shaun Foster from Carnforth and Rurals Neighbourhood Police said: ‘’Whilst enquiries are ongoing for these crimes, please can be people be alert to any suspicious activity, especially overnight of people or vehicles which seem out of place and report these to police on 999.
‘’If you have any CCTV or information in relation to what has happened overnight please contact me.’’
