An uplifting family show about animals, humans and nature is coming to a Lancaster community centre.
Animals! comes to the Gregson Centre on Moor Lane this half term with fun, interactive and original songs to celebrate the amazing wildlife around us.
The show explores how we can become better neighbours to the natural world, making big challenges feel possible to tackle.
Created in response to the nature and biodiversity crisis, Animals! approaches important environmental issues with sensitivity, humour and hope. The performance encourages audiences to think differently about their relationship with nature, inspiring curiosity and positive action.
The show has been enjoyed by thousands of families and primary school children across the UK over the last few years. It is produced by Dens & Signals, was originally commissioned by Coventry City of Culture, and is supported by Arts Council England.
"We're really excited to welcome Animals! to the Gregson this half term," said Charles Tyrer, CEO of the Gregson.
"It's exactly the kind of theatre we love bringing to Lancaster - creative, entertaining and tackling important issues in a way that feels hopeful rather than overwhelming.
"It's a brilliant opportunity for families to enjoy an afternoon together, while perhaps seeing the natural world around them a little differently."
The show is on Wednesday October 28 at 2.30pm. It's created for children of seven and over, and suitable for the whole family.
