Lancaster's longest-running short film festival is set to celebrate its 10th birthday.
LA1 Shorts has screened Lancashire-focused and national short films at The Dukes in Lancaster since 2016.
The film festival is one of the only in the country to work with new and young filmmakers, supporting them in enhancing their work to make it festival-ready for screening.
Screenings spread out over the year, the team working with Lancaster University Health Innovation Centre, Health and Wellbeing Short Film Festival, with Lancashire County Council producing LA1 Lives, a refugee film festival.

There has been a diverse mix across five categories; Lancashire Audience Choice, National Best Film, Health & Wellbeing Documentaries, Music Videos and Children’s Animation.
This year's screenings of submitted short films will be on May 30 at 7pm at The Dukes. Tickets £7 for 11 short films available HERE.
LA1 Shorts is also holding a competition on Facebook and Instagram asking people to recreate a still image from your favourite film and hashtag #LA1Shorts10Years #StillMyFavouriteFilm. Winners get tickets for LA1Shorts and a goody bag.
