A music impresario who brought some of the biggest names in rock to Lancaster will tell his story at a Morecambe venue.
Barry Lucas, former entertainments manager at Lancaster University, will be in conversation at the Platform on Saturday January 17.
All ticket sales will go to the Friends of the Platform Morecambe group.
In the 1970s and 1980s, Lancaster University was one of the UK’s great live music venues as rock and pop legends including The Who, Paul McCartney, Bob Marley and Queen shook the stage.
They all shared one thing in common – they were booked by Barry Lucas.
In conversation with Mark Swindlehurst, he will give insights into all the ‘behind the scenes’ gossip, not only about those days but also his other impressive list of involvements with top artistes, from around this country and the world.
There will also be live music from Morecambe band The Limes.
The event starts at 7pm.
You can book at The Platform booking office - open Tuesday and Thursday from noon to 4pm, or call 01524 582803 or email platformboxoffice@lancaster.gov.uk
