This production is a dazzling triumph - one that even Dolly Parton herself would be proud of.
From start to finish, the show bursts with infectious energy and heartfelt performances. If you stumbled upon it in the West End or on Broadway, you wouldn’t feel short-changed.
Though staged by an amateur group, there is nothing remotely amateur about this production.
The story follows three women, Doralee (Jessie Turton), Violet (Victoria Muir), and Judy (Kira Cherrington, below), who are pushed to their limits by their sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical boss, Franklin Hart Jr. (Paul Atkinson), head of the company Consolidated.

Together, they hatch a daring plan for revenge, leading to a witty, empowering, and delightfully chaotic tale of friendship and justice.
Each cast member shines, both individually and as part of a vibrant ensemble.
The dynamic choreography perfectly evokes the late-1970s office setting.
The pacing never falters, balancing comedy, satire, and genuine emotion with ease.

A particular highlight is the music - Dolly Parton’s exuberant score is brought vividly to life by an outstanding pit band whose energy and precision elevated every number.
Special mention goes to Ruth Gardner as Roz, Hart’s obsessively devoted secretary. Her comic timing and powerhouse solo had the audience in stitches, making her performance one of the evening’s standout moments.
9 to 5 offers everything you could want from a night at the theatre: humour, heart, and an important message about female empowerment and solidarity.
The production, directed by Vanessa Whittle, runs every evening until Saturday November 15, with an additional Saturday matinee at 2.15pm.
Tickets are selling fast, and deservedly so. This is a show not to be missed.
