A Beyond Radio presenter has started work as a volunteer for the hospice in Lancaster.
Mateo Sanderson started his voluntary work at St John’s Hospice last Thursday, at the hospice's furniture charity shop on Slyne Road.
Mateo is volunteering as a book specialist sorting donated books, scanning books that cannot be sold, and identifying rare and collectible books.
He will be volunteering at the hospice shop every fortnight, beginning his work during National Volunteer Week which ran from June 2 to 8.
''St John’s Hospice means a lot to me," said Mateo, who hosts The Beyond Mateo Show on Beyond Radio every other Saturday.
"It's helped my family a lot.
"I have always wanted to know how St John’s Hospice generates the income they need to give the great care across our community.''

Mateo, who has cerebral palsy, has raised tens of thousands of pounds supporting local charities over the years.
St John's Hospice, based on Slyne Road in Lancaster, provides palliative care for patients across the Lancaster and Morecambe Bay area.
Beyond Radio will be at the Moonlight Walk for the hospice this Saturday evening.
