A Beyond Radio volunteer has smashed his personal best by 20 minutes at the world's biggest half marathon.
Phil McGrath was one of 60,000 people who took part in Sunday's 13.1 mile run between Newcastle-upon-Tyne and South Shields.
He clocked two hours and 36 minutes, running in aid of Church Action on Poverty.
This was Phil's third time taking part in the Great North Run.
He ran with his wife Diane, as well as Janet Tomkinson, Darren Norman and Georgina Briffett, all from Lancaster, and from Heron Flyers Running Group.
Phil, who presents The Quick Draw Radio Show on Monday nights on Beyond Radio, is centre manager at the Cornerstone community facility, part of Lancaster Methodist Church.
