A new show is coming to Beyond Radio for lovers of Lancaster Canal.
Waterside Weekly is a magazine programme dedicated to capturing the voices, stories, and rhythms of life along the canal.
Through inclusive conversation, local music, personal journeys, and shared interests, the show seeks to connect and celebrate all stakeholders of the waterway — from liveaboard boaters and leisure users to anglers, cyclists, walkers, the navigation authorities and the communities who live along the towpath.
Presented by John Hewson, a liveaboard boater on the canal, Waterside Weekly promises to entertain, educate and inspire the canal, and the wider community about life on the Lancaster Canal.
The first edition of Waterside Weekly will be on Saturday October 4 on Beyond Radio at 5pm.
