Beyond Radio would like to thank our mid-morning host Phill Hayward, who is stepping down from his show as part of our revamped daytime schedule.
Phill has presented ‘The Phill Hayward Show’, weekdays between 10am and 2pm, since early 2020, entertaining listeners with his music, local information and warm conversation, and popular features including his ‘cryptics’ – crossword puzzles on the radio, and ‘The Beyond Brew’.
His presenting has been recognised with a number of awards through the years too, including a Directors Award at our Volunteer Awards in 2024.

Phill is very much remaining a big part of the Beyond Radio family, hosting two weekend shows, and being a key part of our events team.
He has your perfect Saturday night soundtrack with ‘And The Beat Goes On’ – two hours of disco and funk classics – every weekend from 10pm, while he also remains as host of ‘Guess The Local Year’ every Sunday lunchtime between midday and 3pm.

Duncan Moore, Director and Head of Community Programming and Personnel at Beyond Radio, said: ‘’Phill has been a reliable mainstay of our broadcast output for a number of years.
"We thank him for his commitment to the station both on and off air.
"I'm pleased to say Phill will remain with us with his weekend shows and in our events team.''
