Last-ditch preparations are being made ahead of the popular Baylight festival in Morecambe.
The free Baylight event runs on Friday February 21 and Saturday February 22 from 6pm to 9.30pm both nights.
The event will include a community parade on the Saturday at 6pm and an expanded light art trail along the Promenade featuring 18 installations by local and national artists.
Many of Morecambe's iconic landmarks will be illuminated as part of the event.
Huge crowds of people are expected to attend the festival, which was first run in 2023.
Ahead of Baylight '25, we spoke to Johnny Bean from the organising team.

We also spoke to Donna Campbell (below), the artist tasked with creating a giant whale as centrepiece for the parade.

Beyond Radio will broadcast live from Baylight with a special show on Saturday from 5pm to 8pm.

Below, the frame goes up on Tuesday for the Moby Dick exhibit. This illuminated galleon will bring back memories of the Moby Dick ship in the town. It appeared on TV and in films, then became a visitor attraction in the town until it was destroyed by fire in 1970.
