A Lancaster restaurant is open for business again after a break-in over the bank holiday weekend left "a hell of a mess".
The Quarterhouse was burgled in the early hours of Monday morning, May 6.
The Moor Lane restaurant was closed for Tuesday evening service, but back open again on Wednesday.
A post on the restaurant Facebook page said: "We're really sorry to let you know that the restaurant was broken into at some point in the early hours of yesterday morning.
"While it looks like the thieves didn't get away with much, they have made a hell of a mess and there is a lot of broken glass.

"Huge thanks to our neighbours, (The Old Sea Dog) for helping out massively patching up the hole, as well as Karen's Alterations, Mason and Sons Funeral Directors and Julie who kindly notified the police when she saw the damage.
"There's a real community on this street, and hopefully that will help catch those responsible before they can break into another business."

If you have any information which can help police with their enquiries, please call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
