An education head from Lancaster has been made a CBE in the King's New Year's Honours List.
Lisa Marie O'Loughlin, Principal and Chief Executive Officer at the East Lancashire Learning Group, was made a CBE for services to Further Education.
Also in the New Year's Honours List, Ruth Ive, a foster carer from Burton-in-Lonsdale near Carnforth, has been made an MBE for services to foster care.
Catherine Mary Parums from Milnthorpe, Head of Remembrance Events at The Royal British Legion, has also been made an MBE for services to national commemorative events.
Nina Bale from Milnthorpe has been awarded a British Empire Medal for services to the homeless community in Kendal.
Charles David Owen Morris, known for operating cinemas in the North of England including the Roxy in Ulverston and the Royalty in Bowness, has been made an MBE.
Mr Morris is best known locally for running the Regal Cinema in Lancaster during the 2000s.
