Lancaster Pride will return to the city in 2026 and a fundraiser has been launched.
The annual LGBTQ+ celebration will take place on Sunday June 14.
The event has traditionally featured a city centre parade, followed by entertainment in Dalton Square, and in recent years big names including Kerry Katona, Samantha Fox and former EastEnders star Cheryl Fergison have appeared.
"We’re proud to be bringing Pride to Lancaster and the surrounding areas - a day for our LGBTQ+ community and allies to come together, celebrate who we are, and be yourself in a safe, welcoming space," said a Lancaster Pride spokesperson.
"Our act list and entertainment will be announced closer to the date, and we can’t wait to reveal who we have lined up!
"But we need your help to make it happen.
"We’ve launched a Spacehive crowdfunding campaign to help cover the costs of hosting Pride. Events like this rely on community support, and every contribution - big or small - helps us create a safe, vibrant celebration for everyone.
"Please consider donating if you can, and sharing the link to help spread the word. Together we can make Lancaster Pride 2026 amazing."
The fundraiser has been launched by Out in the Bay, organisers of local Pride events.
The fundraising page says: "Lancaster Pride 2026 will once again bring thousands of people together in the heart of the city to celebrate equality, diversity and community.
"Organised by LGBT Out in the Bay, this vibrant and family-friendly event has become a key date in Lancaster’s calendar - and we are determined to keep it completely free and accessible to all.
"In a largely rural and coastal region with limited dedicated LGBT+ spaces, Pride is far more than a celebration. It is visibility. It is belonging. It is safety.
"For many people, particularly young people, Pride is the only time they see their identities celebrated publicly and positively in their own city.
"However, rising infrastructure and safety costs now threaten our ability to keep Pride free. Through Spacehive, we are seeking community support to ensure Lancaster Pride 2026 remains open, inclusive and accessible to everyone - regardless of income."
