A member of Lancaster rock band Massive Wagons has spoken of his relief to be reunited with his iconic guitar after it was stolen from a gig.
Adam Thistlethwaite's white Gibson Flying V guitar, which he's used for 13 years, was taken after a show during the band's tour of Germany.
The guitar was stolen after the Wagons' gig at Bahnhof Pauli in Hamburg, reported to the police and led the band to put out an appeal on their social media.
"Tonight April 20 we played Bahnhof Pauli venue in Hamburg and I must say it was amazing!
"Unfortunately though at the end of the night someone walked away with Adam’s white Gibson Flying V.
"We have it on good authority from a number of witnesses AND video and photographic evidence who it was… so if you are reading this we know you pal… and the police have been informed and are on the case.
"If the guitar is returned asap nothing more will be said or done, we realise people make stupid drunken decisions and come the light of day regret their actions, I hope this is the case here.
"Let’s make it too hot to handle.. we have the serial number, but please share far and wide and maybe people will think twice before stealing a band's gear. Thanks."

But then the following day, Adam posted: "Had a fantastic show in Hamburg last night, as usual!
"However afterwards I had my workhorse guitar of 13 years taken from the backstage area by someone, a ‘fan’ in what I can only assume was a moment of madness.
"Thanks to the effort of my band mates, crew, and comrades around the industry and music fans WE HAVE IT BACK!!!
"Very thankful, I know with all the s__t going on around the world now this is just just a bit of wood with some strings on and I can only say thank you again to those who showed concern and reached out.
"I’m a lucky boy."
Last November, Massive Wagons achieved the first UK Top 5-selling album of their career.

The group's latest release 'Earth to Grace' reached number four in the UK Official Album Chart and also number one in the Rock Chart.
Their previous album 'Triggered' reached number six in the UK Album Charts in 2022, their highest position prior to 'Earth to Grace'.
'House of Noise' reached number nine in 2020 and prior to that, 'Full Nelson' made number 16 in 2018.
The band members are Baz Mills, Adam Thistlethwaite, Stevie Holl, Adam Bouskill and Alex Thistlethwaite.
