Two mums have visited Beyond Radio to talk about their new group to support parents who may need a little extra help.
Becky Ingle and Sam Hair are part of 'Calm Together' - a safe and supportive community for parents of children who struggle with emotional regulation, meltdowns or behaviour challenges.
Becky and Sam, who both work as teaching assistants, share strategies, personal experiences and resources to help make a real difference at home and at school, in the Lancaster and Morecambe Bay area.
"We are parents and we wanted to make a support group that helped parents with strategies that are built on real-life experience, so we want families to feel understood," said Becky.
"The guidance comes from people and professionals who have walked very similar paths. We know how hard it is ourselves.

"We want to offer some workshops, and give them a safe supportive space where we can navigate together the challenges they are experiencing at home.
"We've got a lot of skills and qualifications but a lot of our experiences are lived and real."
Sam said: "Parents are questioning, am I doing enough, am I being a good parent?
"They are. They are putting everything into this, they just need that extra support of what to do next."
Calm Together will be running free drop-in workshops in local community hubs, starting in January, and are available for private sessions or video calls.
